It's a great perspective. Over the last decades the Navajo have reclaimed Diné (the People) as their proper name, vice Indian or Native American. They're just the People. Conquering peoples, whether European, Asian, or indigenous, always impose their order on subjugated peoples.

The woman whose 4 indigenous friends died of suicide is, with a little grace of Great Spirit going to graduate this June. She is the one who wants to make the card deck.

Her Phd will be in Wild Rice. She has told me people have tried to steal her research, among other things they have done/tried to do.
